I remember the posters who habitually crack my shit up. lieu’s posts in general and Scylla’s OP’s in particular. Rants are always good, and NinjaChick gets on a tear sometimes. And I’ll never forget Eve’s “gotcha ya” post, which I think is the funniest thing ever posted.
I also remember some of the insurance people, like Inigo Montoya and Ginger of the North.

I wonder if the mods have something similar to this that helps them keep track of posters they need to keep an eye on. I’m sure a system is in place that lists warnings and such, but they always seem to be on top of even the patterns of certain posters. Ones who ‘drive-by’ threads, who post opinions in GQ, etc.
I can only remember a handful of posters, namely people whose names are references that I know i.e. Malacandra, Helen’s Eidolon, Elendil’s Heir, Speaker for the Dead etc. I’ve only met three Dopers so that’s not helping me much. Oh, and of course the celebs, Der Trihs being a notable one 
It’s funny but on the Guardian talkboards I’ve managed to form much more lasting knowledge of people more easily than here and it doesn’t have avatars either. Don’t know why that is.
