Are you seeing election bumper stickers in your area?

That’s nothing new.

Most of the bumper stickers I’ve seen have been for Trump, and not surprisingly, they are usually on junky-looking trucks that have all kinds of ammosexual-oriented stickers as well. :dubious:

As for yard signs, I’m seeing more signs for Gary Johnson than I am for all the other candidates put together, and that includes people who are running for local races.

Not lately but I remember seeing ‘Jane Wyman Was Right’ back when.

Haven’t seen any 'Pence Ensues" strips.

Just got home; been out since 10am putting up lawn signs for my local Minnesota Legislature candidate. Put out a bit over a hundred of them. Finding the houses was fairly easy: once we were on the right block, it was usually the house with the Hillary Clinton lawn sign already there – that was about 2/3rds of the houses.

I’ve seen a couple of Trump stickers in my boyfriend apt complex. I see a lot of Bernie Sanders stickers still around in my college town, and Trump when I drive on 301. Starke, Waldo and Lawtey are more red than my hometown.
I see lots of local election yard signs compared to two or four years ago.

Las Vegas reporting!

I don’t see many bumper stickers, but I no longer drive very far to work so I’m not spending much time on the roads.

I do see lots of yard signs in my neighborhood; all are for Trump/Pence. I’d estimate about 20% of the yards in my neighborhood are currently adorned.

Michigan resident. Blue state with a lot of red pockets. Seen a couple Trump stickers, a couple Hillary ones. One Hillary lawn sign. During primary season a lot of Bernies and a couple of Carsons.

I’m seeing a LOT of Trump stickers, particularly on those big trucks. I’ve seen more Sanders than Clinton stickers. I’m not seeing very many yard signs either, and the ones I see are mostly Trump.

There’s a bar and grill not far from my house that’s owned by an elderly man who came here as a refugee from the 1956 Hungarian uprising. The bar has a big sand volleyball court, and hanging from the fence is a big pro-Hillary banner.

Not generally wise for a business to take a stand unless it’s relevant to the business, but that’s what he’s chosen to do.

Michigan resident. Still no stickers. No Hillary signs, a few Trump signs. Most signs are for Candace Miller or whoever the other guy running for that office is (I forget his name but his commecials are obnoxious, never seen a Miller commercial).

When I was volunteering on the 2008 Obama campaign, I heard that “Yard signs don’t vote” crap many times, but I consider it selfish on the part of those working on Presidential campaigns - they’re not for *your *candidate, they’re to endorse all the other signs in the yard. These days, candidates are no longer putting party affiliation on their signs, and seeing “Schmoe For Governor” signs in a yard next to a Hillary one lets you know that Schmoe is the Dem.

The only reliable way to know affiliation is to look for the union "bug" on the sign or sticker - trade unions are a huge source of Democratic campaign workers, and they will generally refuse to distribute literature, signs or bumper stickers that have not been printed at a union shop.

I saw my first Trump/Pence stickers today on, of all things, a Prius. There is a joke in there somewhere but I’m too tired from work to search for it.

I’ve been back in Honolulu since August 1, but now that you mention it, no, I’ve not noticed any. Maybe I’ve just not been looking. But Hillary has Hawaii sewn up and everyone knows it. There’s not much reason for either side to try.

EDIT: No lawn or any other signs either. There was a local election last month, and there were plenty of signs for those. But for the national election, nothing that I’ve noticed.

After this thread I started paying closer attention. It still doesn’t seem to be as many bumper stickers as in the past but the few I’ve seen are all Trump. This is in New Jersey which should go to Clinton by a wide margin.

I’ve been seeing more and more Trump signs popping up in yards, but that’s not a surprise. This county is pretty hard-core Republican. Every time I see one of the signs, I die a little inside at the thought of that whack-a-doodle in the White House.

Thought I’d bump this one, now that the election is close.

A couple of observations on yard signs: I’m in one of the more conservative towns on the North Shore of Masshusetts (used to be blue collar/agricultural and now is a suburb). So, not unexpectedly, there are a few Trump/Pence signs (which remained up even after the “bus tape” landed.) But based on my not very scientific observations, the signs are almost always where the demographics say they’d be – fairly modest, small houses, maybe with a work truck parked in the drive. There are also a fair number of Clinton/Kane signs. The real difference is that when I drive through the more affluent towns on my commute to work, there are no Trump signs where during the last election, you’d see a fair number of Romney/Ryan signs.

Also, somewhat unscientifically, I took a road trip to rural-ish New Hampshire this weekend expecting to see lots of Trump signs and actually found that the Clinton/Maggie Hassan signs seemed to be in the majority, again, on a stretch of road that was Romney territory last election.

Can’t say as I’ve seen any bumper stickers at all – I don’t think people want to be driving around reminders of this election for the next four years.

I saw a house in an older neighborhood near me with a ~ 3’x4’ apparently professionally-made yard sign: “DEPLORABLES for TRUMP”

He had a couple of other smaller Trump and other R candidate signs as well.

I admire his candor. Or perhaps sense of humor. I can’t tell which he meant.
3 months after my first post here it remains the case that 9/10ths of Trump signs or stickers are connected to pickup trucks. I do a double-take when I see one on a car. Hillary yard signs appear here and there, as do stickers.

Best one I saw recently:

    RUM

Make America Great Again

Typical TRUMP sign with the leading T & trailing P cut off.
And it was posted outside a bar!

I’ve seen exactly ONE Clinton/Kaine sign along the routes I drive most often, but I’m not sure it’s there any longer - I’ll have to check on my way home today. More Trump signs have been springing up - one place has four large ones hanging along their privacy fence that fronts a main road.

I’m leaving on Saturday on a cruise. Here’s hoping I can go 9 days without seeing or hearing anything about this electoral idiocy!

Election campaign signs for Presidential candidates are down significantly this year

Since this thread was last active, I’ve seen a lot of yard signs crop up, and a fair number of bumper stickers. Probably the plurality of the ones I’ve seen have been about a local ballot issue, but of the Presidential ones, they’re mostly Clinton. Which isn’t particularly surprising, given the neighborhoods I’m mostly seeing. There are also a few for the Senate race, but most folks seem to consider that a settled matter.
