Check out just about any music thread in Cafe Society.
I find it very strange. Within Cafe Society and Game Room, he posted relatively sane topics. Outside those…wow. Also, I don’t see how his name change could have been taken as anything but a giant middle finger to everyone else.
He may not have been trolling, but he damned sure made a good show of it. Perhaps more importantly, he did not appear to ever take his warnings seriously. That to me is the greater offense, really; posting about cats may not be very offensive behavior, but if the mods for whatever reason disallowed posting about cats and warned me five times for posting about cats, I’d be a damned fool to continue posting about cats if I wanted to stay on the board.
They’d all be listed under the same name, the posts move with the person, only the name changes. I myself, think the moderators made a good call in banning the poster.
I’m not surprised. Like many of you, I find it odd that the same guy who posted really good stuff in CS and TGR was so trollish in the other forums.
I will miss having our own personal Ignatious J. Reilly
Wow. That was . . . sudden.
I can’t say I’m surprised, but I’m disappointed he couldn’t help being a total weirdo in the Pit. If he’d toned it back just a little he could have stayed, I think.
Yes, the camel seemed willing enough to bear the load of all that straw, but one last piece and CRACK!
Did anybody else read the thread title and assume we were no longer allowed to respond to a long post with TLDR?
Just me? Oh, okay.
Wait, ARE we allowed to respond to a long post that way? It does seem kind of rude…
That was his schtick, though. Those were smoke screens to extend his troll-ability. Repeating what I said in his stupid CalMeachum thread:
What the…?! I was building a schtick of mocking him and his suidical rages! A whole schtick!

Well, given the VCO3/TLDR specific rule that was shown in the ATMB thread, I think that TPTB gave him sufficient warning to know that if he didn’t come back, he was going to get called on it.
I’ll admit he could make some interesting OPs in other fora. But this is behavior he had been warned about, as specifically annoying certain posters and mods.
FWIW, I found them amusing. Too bad they’re going to become obsolete now.
Damn, I go out for a few hours and come back to a banned TLDR? Holy crap. And about time. He was either trolling or he really was that obtuse…I vote troll.
So he gets banned, and all of a sudden the search function is working again? I smell a conspiracy.
I, for one, wasn’t very happy when I found out about this. But, on the bright side, we’re one step closer to sitting around with nobody to start threads that will be flooded with potshots taken at the OP, not because of what it says, but because of who he is.
You’re gonna look at his latest Pit thread and try to claim the content wouldn’t have been objectionable if anyone else had posted it?
Boo! I will miss VCO3 and his wonderings about black people.
AFAIK there’s no specific rule against that particular acronym, as such, but every time I’ve seen it used, it earned a warning for threadshitting.
Bryan Ekers, I was enjoying your parodies, and I would remind you that this doesn’t mean you can’t continue them. I’m thinking people will remember TLDR for a while.
It would be fascinating (gruesome crime scene kind of fascinating) to read his stratospherical, overblown, raging outrage about being banned from the Dope.
Add me to the Well Overdue list, the moment he changed his name (and the motives he gave for that) he stamped a big red I´M A TROLL in his forehead.
Also the way he beheaved in CS and the Jekyll that roammed GD and the Pit is a clear sign, went to those forums to stir up people for his own amusement.
Oh, he’s not outraged at all. He doesn’t have an audience.
Assuming you think that five warnings is not enough to justify a banning, how many warnings should should s/he have been allowed before s/he was banned?
