Mine aren’t. My capital M’s are pointy peaked (like two upside-down V’s), and my capital W’s are loopy-bottomed (like two, uh, U’s).
Shit. Ya think I should stop screwing around and get some work done here today?

Mine are like yours. And don’t worry about the “work”. I’m not getting any done!
My capitols are upside-down version of each other, but my lowercase ‘w’ is more like a slightly squiggly line that trails upwards at the end, whereas my lowercase ‘m’ actually looks like an m.
My upper-case Ms used to be rounded on top like upside-down Ws, but one day my mom commented that they looked like boobs, so I changed 'em.
Down with work!
Anyone else actually have to write a W and an M to see how you do it? I’ve never thought about it before.
My “M” looks like a “u” on stilts. My “W” looks kinda like the “W” in Walt Disney’s signature.
And what is this work to which you refer?
Yes to your OP question, but I find myself pronouncing words the way they’re spelled when people make signs by turning letters upside-down. Like Car Mash. Or Help Manted.
Sometimes I deliberately do that flipping of letters in my head before pronouncing words like “I mant to go eat” or “I mish I had a dollar for every time I heard that” or Wen and Mowen rest rooms.
Mine are like this: //\

Me too! I was just going to reply with that.
My M’s and W’s are pointy…loopy-bottomed W’s like yours look like butts.
My W’s are always rounded, but my M’s vary – sometimes pointy, sometimes rounded. I haven’t bothered to try to figure out if there’s a pattern (like, if they’re always rounded when they precede certain other letters).
I don’t know what you all are talking about. I’ve compared your examples very carefully, and as near as I can tell, you all use the same M’s and W’s!
Pet Peeve time (again?!?): Signs that a written in all caps except for the Ls. “WE LOVE BlAKE” at American Idol for example. Um, who’s Biake?
I know, you meant prefab sticky letters or those ones on movie theater marquees which our theater never has enough of so you have to deduce what the heck movies they mean by

My M’s look like sideways 3’s.
Really? My W’s look more like sideways 3’s than my M’s do.
My 3’s are pointy.
Ew!
No. My M’s begin at the top line and have a sort of precursor line to get to the bottom, then the M starts and is concluded with a long descender:

My W’s are simpler; they rise at the end, but not as much.
Yes and no. I have several forms of writing “W” and “M”, and, while they resemble one another on some occasions, on other occasions, they look nothing like one another.
I’m a u on stilts girl too! Mouse written version of my M and W. I never could write terribly well with a mouse. The M is accurate, my W is a titch more rounded on the bottom points but not by a whole lot.
