They’re all over the “better” news media. In recent days I’ve seen Jenner featured in a blurb for an ABC News online story, and Sports Illustrated had something on a plastic Kardashian.
I’ve literally got a plastic Cardassian!
Now I’m picturing a Transgender Gul Dukat. Shudder.
I was watching an episode of DS9 the other night when my wife walked into the room right when someone mentioned the Cardassians. My wife stopped and went “Wait…what? Kardashians?” LOL.
Caitlyn is the most famous transgender person in the world. She has made millions of people aware of transgender issues. As I discussed in the original thread when she first came out as transgender, watching her interview with Diane Sawyer was a personal epiphany for me, and changed my attitude toward transgender people. From what I have seen in the media and online, there are many other people who have been similarly affected by her interviews and her T.V. show. Her new book that came out last month is a top seller on Amazon. It certainly has mixed reviews, but there are definitely people who have been educated by her story.
As for her involvement in the car crash, no criminal charges were filed, and she settled the civil cases privately for an undisclosed amount.
I have tried to avoid these folks as much as possible.
So I wasn’t aware that Caitlyn Jenner is telling her opinions on whatever issues, but I see nothing wrong in it, on the contrary.
I think too many people see transgender ( etc ) people just some kind of masses of abnormal that happen to be in a human form and totally without any other character traits.
But with this favorite tree, peanut butter and other stuff she’s actually building up a picture of a whole person who has just as many aspects as anyone - and one of them just happens to be this transgender thing ( and it is not dictating everything that she does or thinks ).
The others are useless.

I thought they were over but then I saw that somebody had created a whole thread about them here on the SDMB so I don’t know now.
I try to avoid following anything about the family but I did see a recent blurb that said Caitlin had publicly confirmed that she had undergone the surgery and had now fully transitioned. And was happy about it. So, y’know, yay for her.
I’ll never forgive them for what they did to the Bajorans.

Kanye West is an immensely skilled musician who, for all his being kinda weird, earned being famous though hard work and talent.
