So Kim Kardashian is getting divorced

That didn’t last long did it?

Supposedly the wedding cost $10 million. While I didn’t expect them to last long, and wasn’t sure if it was simply a publicity stunt, the cost seems to be too much for it to simply have been fake from the beginning. Unless, I suppose, the $10 million is exaggerated too.

I wonder if they are going to return all those presents…

Don’t forget they made a ton of money selling photos of the wedding, honeymoon, etc. Plus a special on TV. (E!, maybe?) In the end I bet they end up making money on the deal.

I am shocked, saddened and devastated by this news. Or would be if I knew who Kim Kardshian was, other than having a vague idea she’s a reality TV “star.”

Well they totally screwed up the sanctity of mariage for everyone, might as well let all those same sex couples get married now.

Why would someone care one way or another… unless you are related to the couple in some way.

There’s at least 5 cheeses in my fridge that lasted longer than their marriage.

Oh man, did they even have time to do TV interviews about the secrets to happiness in their marriage, and tips for staying in love?

So the problem with her marriage is the husband wasn’t eating enough cheese?

I’ve heard rumours that they have indeed made money on their wedding.

So, shall we assume Kim spent more time picking out centrepieces for her wedding than she did picking out a groom?

There was a TV series on “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding” or something like that, right? Did they even air the actual wedding episode yet?

The height difference alone would have been enough to make me thing twice.

Sounds like the wedding and divorce was pre-planned.
Part of the “Kardashian” business plan.
Is this woman supposed to be important somehow? Is she an ex-porn star?

I sincerely hope that this doesn’t come across as threadshitting - that is not my intent at all - but it grinds me that this is even considered worth talking about. This is a business move by a business person who is managing their life decisions solely based on the ability to maintain/expand their “brand,” profit and move on. I mean, no one finds this surprising and no one takes it remotely seriously, right? This is the Celebutant equivalant to Pro Wrestling, right? Silly stories woven with twists so the target audience can enjoy the characters…

The fact that their brand is enabled simply because we have enough media bandwidth these days to accomodate this type of “celebrity” is, well, not surprising, but really not worth much discussion beyond that…right?

She has a big ass and a sex tape. So kinda…

Someday when she’s had six additional marriages, has slapped a cop and had a leg fall off, she’ll look back upon this divorce as the happy times.

Too late to edit: okay, way too many “…right?'s” in that post. I guess I am trying to get comfort that most folk just look at this as a contrived diversion at best…

…now get off my lawn! And take that Kardashian tart with you!

To steal a joke from Daniel Tosh, that’s already a done deal now that those nice young men Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian got married.

Yes, and ironically enough, it was rebroadcasted just over the weekend.

Its cool. I’m not really interested in them either, I didn’t watch the wedding episode or any of the episodes prior. I only occasionally watch them because Lamar Odom is on the show. I posted mainly to discuss if people think they faked the wedding or not and any interesting tidbits they might get as a fallout. I guess Kim’s hot, but not enough for me to keep watching.

Another person who watches The Soup?
