Argh! How do I change the headlight on my 2000 Honda Civic?

Ok, I have the headlight, and I have the Civic.

All I need are four elbows and hands the size of a toddler, and a grip like superman, and I’m set!

Seriously, I’m trying to change my left headlight (facing forward, of course). The problem is the power steering fluid cylinder. It’s in the way, and I can’t get a grip on the plug.

I don’t have the owners manual because the Honda place never got me one. Sucks, but fine.

However, anyone have experience with this? I can’t seem to do more than touch it, and I don’t see anything I could remove to make room without major auto surgery, which I am not going to do.

I think you’ll find that the power steering reservoir is easy to remove from its mounting. You should be able to set it aside far enough to get access to the headlight bulb.

It is difficult. I have a 96 Civic and small hands but it was still a major pain in the buttocks. The reservoir trick is worth trying.
