I have pitifully little to go on, so this may be impossible. Here’s what I recall:
He was in some films but was not a superstar–more of a B-lister.
In terms of looks, he was kind of a Peter Duel type. Brown hair.
His last name was something like Duryea. No, not Dan Duryea–much younger than that. Also not Dan Duryea’s son, Peter. No offense to Peter Duryea, but the actor I’m thinking of was extremely good-looking. Last name definitely started with a D.
His first name was one syllable. I was thinking “Kim,” but that’s not right. Ken?
I can’t even recall what movies/TV shows he was in. At first I was thinking “Charly,” the film based on “Flowers for Algernon,” but that was Cliff Robertson. This guy tended to play the boyfriend/young husband of the ingenue.
If I had a list of 100 male actors from the 1960’s, I’d be able to spot him, but I haven’t found such a list. Anyone know where I could find one?
This is embarrassingly little to offer for clues. I’m sorry. But any guesses would be appreciated.
Reading the OP I thought Oh yea I remember him Duryea, or something but on researching It I was thinking of Doug McClure- don’t know why I thought it was Duryea
Bumped because I just got a copy of the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinemateque July/August schedule, and July 14-17 is Keir Dullea weekend; they are showing Black Christmas, Bunny Lake is Missing, David and Lisa, and 2001: A Space Odyssey, the last two on the 16th. It says he will appear on the 16th and answer audience questions after the screenings. He is a Cleveland native.
