It seems to pop up quite a bit around here. Sometimes it’s towards a specific poster, sometimes it’s toward groups of posters. Enough of it being an aside in a bunch of different threads. Let it be front and center. Pick a doper and analyze them in this thread whenever you choose.
Tell them what you think the posters problems are and what you think would help. Psychology is the number one major for freshman in college. Flex that knowledge.

This OP may be an attempt by DaLovinDJ to separate himself from that class of posters that he would have analyzed - to portray himself as being above that group of people whose actions can be attributed to this or that hang-up. DaLovinDJ has been the subject of some attacks on this board recently, and it is possible that he seeks to recover some possibly-lost standing in this manner. This - if correct - would suggest that DaLovinDJ is not as socially secure as his posturing would have you believe.
Just the type of thing I’m looking for. Figured I’d be the first one. Gladly. You should have thrown in something about my childhood or mother.

FTR, you’re way off in my book. I am definately one of the people who partake in the Armchair Psych. Not above them in any way. Have the attacks affected my standing? If anything I would say they improved it, based on the many e-mails I have recieved.
I’m quite secure in all of this, and look at the SDMB, to some extent, as practice for real world conversations. In the end I find it to really be educational entertainment, and I seek RW sources for social acceptance. The SDMB alone couldn’t cut the needs my ego has.
I find the armchair stuff entertaining. My family does it all the time. I just want to watch. But I’ll partake if ya like. This couch is quite comfy.

This manic-depressive with schizophrenic tendencies agrees with Esprix that this is a spate of nastiness just waiting to happen, and I think it’s best we move on.
Remember, folks- speculating on whether other people’s parents were married is fine, making specific psychological diagnoses is just a bit much.
