I don’t know about Mapplethorpe, but Arnold DID regularly pose nude for gay photographers back in his days as a young, aspiring bodybuilder. Many such photos have surfaced, and several have been published in mainstream, non-porn magazines like Spy.
Some years ago, the late and much lamented satire magazine Spy ran a full-length nude photo of Arnold in support of allegations that he had been a gay-for-pay “escort” for wealthy businessmen in his early bodybuilding career. In contrast to Sly “Is that a thumb?” Stallone, Arnold has much to be proud of.

I wonder if Mapplethorpe paid Arnold for nude modeling with money he got from the National Endowment for the Arts. And how if true that would discombobulate the GOP in California.
I believe ultimately that question depends not on the issues or past deeds but whether enough voting machines are rigged to lean towards the right.
This could get interesting. Remember that his explanation for the Oui interview was that he really couldn’t recall, he did so many interviews and this was such a long time ago (tell me the GOP learned nothing from the Clintons’ testimony).
Now if he can just admit that he really doesn’t recall, he posed for so many gay photogs, and that was so long ago…

Stop being silly, Uncle Beer. none of the lefties here seem to be saying that nude photos make him unfit for office. Rather, they seem to be enjoying the hypocrisy of the California GOP in embracing a pro-gay rights candidate with a seamy past who they would flay alive if he were a Democrat.
