If he killed her, he’s a whackjob. If he didn’t kill her, he’s a whackjob for making the statements he’s been making. In either case he shouldn’t be around children ever again.
What will the court do if they find out he didn’t do it? After maybe a short jail term for obstruction or something, will they just release him? He wouldn’t even have to register as a sex offender, would he? Since having sexual thoughts about children is not the same as acting on those thoughts.
Sadly, he’s got three of his own.

It seems like he has some sort of charges pending in Thailand, I would imagine he could be sent back there to face those.
DeMuth was one of the lead investigators on the case and always believed that an intruder was responsible. I heard him on the radio yesterday and he said that he had never heard of this guy before.
The talk of him walking her home from school is just bizarre. First, it was Christmas Day, so no school, and if this guy were with JonBenet on the day of the murder, we all would have heard of him long ago. I live in Boulder and was here at the time of the murder, so I am very familiar with the case. There is also no evidence at this time that the guy ever lived or even visited Boulder, but you would have to think that the DA must have confirmed that before getting the feds involved.
Getting the cooperation of the ICE, the country of Thailand, the State Department, etc. indicates that the evidence must be very strong, but something about this smells.
FWIW, from firsthand knowledge, law enforcement always strongly believed that the parents were knowledgeable about the murder, but then law enforcement botched the crime scene, too.

It seems to me that in these posts, you are taking the news reports (VERY EARLY news reports, for that matter) at face value. How do you know the media is getting it right THIS time? How do you know the police are getting it right THIS time? I wouldn’t be surprised if half of the “facts” we have heard since this story broke are nothing but rumor.
And you WERE pretty outraged at my suggestion that the guy’s ex-wife might actually have a real alibi for him.
If they really have caught the guy, then that is great. But we shall see.

FWIW, I do think now that the Ramseys aren’t guilty of the crime. I do think they know more than they are letting on, though.

What the media is glossing over, and I’m just throwing this out there, is that IF they find the killer and the real killer, whose DNA was under the nails, is not in the family, that exonerates the family from the murder itself, but possibly not from conspiracy, aiding and abetting, covering up a crime, etc. In other words, it could be true an outsider did the killing, but the family could have had a reason to cover it up, thus the possibility that even though they are exonerated from the killing, mom was not ruled out as having written the note. That IS a possibility.

May I respectfully request a cite as to where she was ruled out to have written the note? Everything I read indicates similarities not only in actual handwriting but in writing style. I thought I read similarties were present in the different way she wrote the letter “a”, often changing up between two types of “a’s” in the same letter, and IIRC it was said after the note, she longer did this and wrote all a’s with the same style, and not the ones in the note? This may have come from a “Patsy is guilty” type website, so I may be recalling incorrectly.
I read that he had 4 kids, two teenage boys and twin baby girls that died at birth. (One wonders if that incident had anything to do with his fixation on little girls?)
But I thought I read he had previous convictions on child porn so I don’t think he’s supposed to be around kids anyway.

And can you be ruled out of writing a note you were once thought to POSSIBLY have written? The note and the comparison samples don’t change. Did the analyst say he once thought it was possible but now totally rules it out? On what basis would the change be made- that day I thought they looked similar today I don’t?
Sorry for two straight posts, but I wanted to add, if this guy has a record for child porn, and the DNA was checked against all child porn dudes and found to have no match, how is this possible? Even if he was added after the initial check, would they not recheck periodically for new matches? Either the matching process was screwed up, not done, or the guy is lying.
