That´s pretty much it, just the other day I was happily saving pages as MHT files and now the option is gone (from IE 6.0), also the save as complete web page is MIA.
A) How could that happen when I didn´t change anything?.
B) How do I make it come back?
C) What happened to Jimmy Hoffa? OK, we can leave this one for another day

What the heck’s an MHT file? Do you mean “.html”?
Check your machine for spyware, viruses, etc. I understand that some of them remove menu options frm IE.
Better yet, unless you absolutely need to use a website that uses the Microsift-specific “ActiveX”, move to a different browser. Mozilla is a good one.
MHT stands for “Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension HTML”; it’s a web archive format that preserves many of the objects that get left out when saving HTML.

Oh! I didn’t know that, Nametag. Is the MHT file accessible by non-MS tools?
Have you actually tried saving the web page using the option, [ File | Save As | Web Page Complete ] and compare it to [ File | Save As | Web Archive ]?
Mozilla will let you do the same thing as IE, but without all the MS-centric overhead.

The file is present, I even reinstalled Outlook Express, no luck, I think I´ll try reinstaling IE tonight.

Today I noticed a suspicious pop-up window when I tried to download a file telling me to install ICOO Loader, yeah, like hell I´m clicking “Yes”; I sniffed spyware, I googled ICOO Loader and came up with this thread sure enough, I deleted MSOPT.dll and the pop-up window was gone, yay!.
But wait, now the Save as MHT file option is back again too! and the problems I was having with IE are gone!
