Arsonists torch historic church

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Home of the celebrated Bluenose and Bluenose II (the ship on the Canadian dime). St. John’s Anglican church, built in 1753, was the second oldest Anglican church in North America and the centerpiece to a town that has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was burnt to the ground last week.

I don’t want to hurl a string of invectives, just ask a single question. What the hell is wrong with these people?

It’s been determined to be a case of arson, correct? Although I have seen reports of it being a Halloween prank gone wrong.

Either case is inexcusable. These people are idiots.

And for an encore, let’s knock over the local museum for Remembrance Day. sigh
