As good as it gets...

Sent my eldest daughter off for a half day “this is what first grade is like” orientation with her kindergarten class at the local elementary school. Was able to kick off a project at work that I’ve been battling on for 2 years. Got home and my youngest, who spent 36 days in the hospital at birth, decided to call me “Daddy” repeatedly, loudly and on camera. Not for the first time but this is definately the real deal. Her twin sister managed not to damage herself climbing any and everything. Dinner with the in-laws and although I wasn’t in the mood for what we were having, which gave me the option of baking up a loaf of sourdough that’s been chillin’ in the fridge for 2 days. Just so happened we have some cheese knackers (bratwurst type things) left over from the Paulaner Brauhaus Sunday brunch yesterday. That and some mustard, and a big juicy red vine ripened tomato translated into a pretty dang good sammich. Oh, and a bottle of homebrewed Australian Coopers Stout. :cool:
