Hey All, This is glarGH. Please pardon my erratic punctuation. I am here by request of ** Skippman** to answer all your mail order bride questions or “re-direct your questions and concerns to the appropriate person”.
Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer or specialist in Immigration, so please do not ask those kinds of questions, or you shall recieve …nothing!
um, no. not as such. The size of our “corporate offices” (a.k.a the converted laundromat) is such, that we have no space to carry a large inventory. However, we are on the web, and allow you to order direct from teh source.
Ok, I do have a few, serious questions.
1.) I take it the majority of the women who advertise in these catalogues are from the Oceana (“Asian” Asia) region. Is this correct?
2.) What is the average education level of these people?
3.) Do the majority of them speak English?
4.) Do you arange meetings between the prospective “couple” before they “tie the knot”?
5.) Have you ever personally spoken with these individuals? If so, what was your opinion of them, from both an intellectual and psychological standpoint?
How big is your business? What countries do brides most typically come from, and what is your primary market demographic? Do you do any tracking of the fate of the brides once they have been “shipped”?
** Mr. Skippman**, all will be revealed in good time.
The majority of them are from South East Asia, with the Eastern European/ Former Soviet region coming in a distant second.
Depends on region, although quite a few have at LEAST a college education. (glarGH’s note: If they’re soooo smart, why are they wanting to marry American men?)
yes. Not always well, but yes.
Yes we can. You are required to meet, and it is recommended that you take lots of photos, why not let us help you out? we also arrange travel to and introductions in several countries.
Actually yes I have, but not in a while. They seem like sweet people. I’ll be able to tell you more when the bossman brings his new bride Kyrgyzstan. (glarGH’s note: “Not only am I the president of MOB Club for Men, but I’m Also a client! Thank You MOB Club for Men!”
I find the whole concept quite interesting really. I keep thinking of the whole “Mail Order Bride” thing as some form of “Extreme dating”. I do have a few more questions. All serious of course.
1.) What is the success rate of these arangements? Do you keep track of that sort of information?
2.) What is the average age of these women? I understand the majority of them to be in the post college (20-26) range based on your previous statement.
3.) Where do they find these people? Is there a recruiter out there going around asking if they would like to be in this catalogue or do they seek out the catalogue’s maker?
Fretful Porpentine, you might get a giggle out of this. Note: this is not a typical letter from a client, just one of the more “outstanding” ones. Minors and others with umm, faint hearts or other conditions, please do not visit this url. http://geocities.com/ranchan11/eskimofucker.html I believe there are some signature worthy quotes to be taken from this.
** Skippman**:
We have about an 85% success rate when it comes to permanence of marriage. People usually write us and let us know that they’ve gotten married, and we ad them to the “Happily Married lets use them for advertising” pile.
The majority of them are about mid 20’s to early 30’s, although we’ve recieved letters from girls as young as 15 andwomen in their 70’s. I think that also varies by region, education, culture as well.
both, although things have become more accessable with the advent of the internet.
yes, although they aren’t nearly as common as MOB’s. For some unknown reason, American men have a really good reputation among foreign women–> foreign men probably aren’t as desirable and most likely have less reason to want to leave country of origin than women.
