I have only heard this phrase in the song “Queen of Winter Throned” by Cradle of Filth.
What exactly does it mean? Where did it originate?

Is it supposed to be “as yet undone”? ie not done yet? That at least is a reasonably common phrase.
Thats what i think, its not unreasonable to think its a typo…but it does sound like he says “yes” in the song. But thats debatable too…not the easiest band to understand.
You might try searching for the lyrics:
Since this seems to be specifically about a phrase found in a single song, I am moving it to Cafe Society. I have also added a clarification to the thread title.

If you search for the phrase “As yes undone”, there are no results other than CoF lyrics in the first two pages (and this thread shows up there). It would appear that it’s an original.
Wouldn’t that make it just a circumferential way to say “NO”?
One thing I’ve noticed with lyrics pages is that there is a truly incredible amount of copying and pasting going on. I have seen examples of an obvious typo repeated on page after page after page. It could also be copied from a typo on the band’s own text of the lyrics.
Although actually having now attempted to read the rest of the lyrics I suspect the answer to the question: “What exactly does ‘As yes undone’ mean when sung by this band?” may well be “nothing, it’s what you get when you put a large number of vaguely gothic sounding words and phrases into random lyrical dreck generating software and hit enter”.
Having my very own original CD of Vempire, I can confirm that the lyrics in the booklet read:
So it’s a case of a typo being repeated over and over again if lyrics sites have “yes” instead of “yet”.
Awesome, thank you!
So it’s not a threat directed at Yes?
Most welcome! And I agree, trying to make out the lyrics while Dani is singing is quite the trick, so lyrics sheets are a must.
