With all the talk about the NFL protests being an insult to the troops, why do conservatives not feel that waving the confederate flag is an insult to the troops? 364,000 Union troops died in the civil war, but the same people who get upset about NFL protests are perfectly fine with waving a flag devoted to the cause that killed 1/3 of a million US soldiers.
In WW2, 405,000 US soldiers died, and I didn’t hear protests from these people about the neonazis waving the nazi flag in Charlottesville.
Does anyone on the right consider this to be an issue?
Then again, a lot of US soldiers died in Vietnam and Korea, but people are still free to wave the communist flag.
