No, you won’t.
He’s not asking ME. He’s asking YOU.
Dipshit.
No, you won’t.
He’s not asking ME. He’s asking YOU.
Dipshit.
How stupid ARE you?
You are basically daring me to answer some other poster’s question.
Is there some litmus test to how well I answer it?
Or do I just have to answer it in some non jackass manner and that’s good enough?
I can certainly do a bit better than the latter when I have a bit more time.
Really? At the expense of the lives, well-being, and livelihood of many, many Americans? Do you really think it would be better to let a plan that’s less than perfect fall apart thereby hurting the lives of many Americans rather than to work with both parties to try to fix it in a way that result in less suffering for the American people?
I guess that might be the difference between someone who votes like I do and someone who votes for a guy like Trump. I want a president who is motivated by helping people, especially those most in need for whatever reason because s/he is compassionate and motivated by humanitarianism. Trump wants to be idolized, to be talked about, to be showered with compliments, to be admired. He doesn’t care in the least what happens to you or me. Is he the kind of leader you really want?
The devil is in the details.
HOW much do we want to spend to try to keep people alive? Ten percent of the GDP? 20? 50? 90?
Do we spend a million dollars to save some 30 year old with a heart defect? Or a few hundred thousand for some 80 year old that needs a pace maker?
I’m not against “universal” health care.
I’m against “health care for all” when most people can’t come to terms with the concept that there are limited resources and trying to save everybody all the time will bankrupt us all.
Then fix it! Make it cheaper! Why do our drugs cost more than Canada’s? How does an overnight observation in a hospital for a racing heart cost $8000 and how does a family of 3 earning $35k/year pay for that?
I can’t imagine how other countries manage. Truly. Oh wait, I know they provide healthcare to all but they spend less and they get better outcomes. How could that be?
And why is America too dysfunctional to figure out what any number of other countries have managed to achieve?
Since you want simple, yes/no questions: Do you believe Obama was born in Kenya?
If your answer is “yes,” okay then. If your answer is “no,” one more simple yes/no follow-up question: Does it bother you at all that Trump exploited birtherism to advance his campaign?
Hell if I know.
Come up with a plan. ANY plan. make it reasonably affordable. Put a HARD cap on the total costs. I’ll sign up to it.
I just don’t want a giant government boondoggle combined with capitilast greed mixed in with a bunch of ignorant public interest that thinks things are free and we can save everybody.
Probably not.
Very slight chance maybe.
But to be honest even if he WAS, that’s kind of a technicality I don’t care much about.
Trump using it to advance his campaign? Meh…plenty of other politicains have used bullshit reasons to do the same…
So, don’t you think that it’s better if Trump and Republicans actually work hard to “come up with a plan” even if that means cooperating with Democrats and compromising on some of their ideas to get some legislation actually passed that can fix what’s wrong without disrupting too many American lives? Even if it takes baby steps to get the kind of results (cost-savings, better health outcomes) that other countries have achieved?
Surely, that’s better than just watching it implode and take out a few hundred thousand Americans. Oh well. C’est la vie…
??
Did I say I was against that?
I’m not having any vapors because Trump is meeting with the democrats.
Yes, you did. Back in Post #79, you said:
Bolding mine. So… you don’t believe that?
Thank you for being candid! I also agree many do think in terms of pipe dreams, but its supposed to be a plan for minimizing government interference/keeping them accountable. It’s excessive and won’t work in most practice, but its just a direction to aim for even if falling short of the long term goal, at least it’s getting there. That’s pretty much all there is to it. That being said, I do like a lot of Republican ideals, but get turned away from the overtly racist or thinly veiled ones, for the same reason I get turned away from liberals with their “White Privilege” propaganda.
If race was left out of politics, it’d really be a game changer. In that sense, I am very libertarian. You can be whatever race, creed, gender, sex, religion, do whatever with your body, ingest what you want etc… and live in harmony, as long as you don’t hurt someone and are not a criminal. Some groups are worse than others, but it is their responsibility to fix it, not everybody else’s. Amnesty for current illegal immigrants (yes, liberals, from europe too, from anywhere), while implementing a rigid no nonsense policy to deport any caught after a certain date.
Minimize spending except for stuff absolutely necessary (defense) and use some surplus to help citizens. The government can help if they want, but If there is no money or crazy excess tax, you cannot have it, or should be given an opportunity to opt-in or out of receiving stuff/paying taxes. Most things left up to the states. Some of it sounds Reagan-y, but its not. I just don’t want to type anymore. Those are my ideals. Socially liberal, fiscally conservative. What do you think of these notions billfish678? Bad or good, i’d appreciate the response.
Do you believe that Trump is:
( ) Less dishonest than the average politician
( ) As dishonest as the average politician
( ) More dishonst than the average politician
Follow-up: do you believe that Trump is:
( ) Less dishonest than the Hillary Clinton
( ) As dishonest as the Hillary Clinton
( ) More dishonst than the Hillary Clinton
There is no “probably not” about it. When a document for bitherism was presernted by pathetic clowns like you it turned to be a forgery. There was no independent nation called Kenya at the time.

“Very slight chance”??? So there was a very slight chance that he took a time machine back to Hawaii shortly after his birth to forge his birth announcement in The Honolulu Advertiser???
Are you actually that stucking foopid?
You obviously don’t care very much about “technicalities” like intellectual integrity, assuming you can even get your head around such a concept.
At the time Obamacare was passed, much of the criticism (thought I don’t know if billfish took this approach) said that it would lead to rationing of care. This is the first time I’ve heard that health care should be rationed, and the problem with Obamacare is that it doesn’t.
On the world stage, did Obama’s behavior ever cause you embarrassment?
Same question for Trump.
No question, just a thanks for the reminder. Something I was meaning to do, couldn’t remember, and it was nagging at me.
Say hi to Bo, will you? I hear he tells a really funny joke— something right up your alley. You two can giggle yourselves incontinent in the VIP room.
There’s a limit to how much pathological stupid I can tolerate in a 24 hour period. You regularly exceed my limits.
So how about all those broads who are suing FOX news for sexual harassment? Women, huh?
I can get behind this kind of thinking.
Thanks for the detailed and well thought out post.
