Ask the Guy in Mosul, Iraq

liirogue:
I got bumped a couple of days. So go ahead and spit em at me =)

Too bad :frowning: (for you at least, for me, I get to ask questions while you’re “captive”) :stuck_out_tongue:

I understand if you can’t answer these, but I’d figure I’d throw them out anyway…

  1. Have you been shot at? Ever shot someone?

  2. What are your feelings about the war and situation in Irag? If you could, how would you change things?

  3. What do you all do for entertainment?

Liirogue:

  1. There have been multiple instances when I have come under, what we call in the service, Direct Firing. Meaning there was a person or persons out there specifically trying to kill or injure me. There have been even more times when I have came under Indirect Fire (meaning someone is just trying to kill or injure anyone, i.e. launching a mortar into a compound, shooting a rocket at my building, and emplacing an IED.) I have shot a person, one guy, in the leg actually. LOL. I never said I was a good shot. I am not a combat arms MOS (read: Job) nor am I in an MOS that would seem to find itself in such a situation.

  2. I personally think the war was something that needed to happen. Saddam needed to be removed. The circumstances behind the war, well I won’t comment on that for at least 2.5 yrs. The situation in Iraq seems to have deteriorated. There is no real formal governance in place. Coalition Provisional Authority is doing the best it can but it just doesn’t have the resources. It is my opinion that there needs to be strong, U.S. backed not led government setup for the people.

  3. Nothing, seriously, we watch DVD’s on laptops and projectors. It’s not bad; however, I have about 50 movies over here and I have watched each one at least 3 times. . . Redundancy is a killer.
