Oh, well, that’s good.
Errm . . .
Which word were we talking about again?
Quentin, is that you?

Look, I was trying to point out that in your own argument while you describe how numerous groups are victimized by various forms of police overreach, all bad enough, it’s black people who actually get shot in high numbers.
Here are your exact words:
When an earnest protester says “Black lives matter”, it’s in the context of these disproportionate slayings of black citizens, which suggests that the system is not valuing black lives.
It’s you that’s choosing to mentally add “. . . more than other lives.” to the end of a sincere call for recognition and help.
For you to go and say “ALL lives matter” in this context trivializes the hurt and frustration of those protesting a very real problem. This probably isn’t your intent, but I’m certain that is exactly the intent of many people who do use the phrase “All lives matter” in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Having started your argument with this very problematic phrase in regard to the disproportionate slaying of black citizens, you then close it by asking “What group suffers most from civil asset forfeiture?” Doesn’t that seem just a little lacking in proportion to you?
Consider this conversation:
**Black person: **“I’ve seen my family and friends killed by the police. So many people in my community have been victimized by the police, it makes me wonder if our lives even matter to them.”
Zeke N. Destroi: “Yeah, well, I once had some stuff confiscated by the cops.”
Do I need one? Or should you just respect my wishes to be called what I want?
Quite a stretch. The typical American is right-handed. I guess that means left-handed folk are deviant freaks and should be hunted down and shot in the streets.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Not much of a stretch, since “the typical American is right-handed” was the reason why left-handed kids spent generations being forced to use their non-dominant hand. It still happens in other countries.
Really? I thought the reason was people were morons. Not the definition of the word “typical”
What do you call something that is the most prevalent?
Based on my quick googles, there exists some people that don’t want to be called cisgender or transgender. Guess it’s a stalemate in the Googling Wars.
As you wish.
What would you like to be called then?
Whatever he feels like, which changes without notice when he wants to be contrary and different and prefers to be defined by vagueness.
“Your Majesty” will do, thanks.
I find the amount of effort I go to in referencing someone by the labels of their choice is inversely proportional to how much of a dick I perceive them to be.
