LOL I got 20 yrs worth but one stands out above all others…back early on before the internet I had a P.O.Box that was listed on my boxes for people to contact me
The guy send me a mail and wants a worn one piece teddy red or black
I mailed him back and said send me the teddy you want her to wear I will have her wear it in a scene and take pics and have her autograph it if you like
He mailed me back and said No you dont understand, I want YOU to wear it
Many times after the foreplay they make up artist will touch up the girls makeup and such but IMHO I always found the "insertion shot to be important, I like to see it and I like to see her face while its happening, so thats generally how I shot it. Id say for others its an editor that doesnt understand how to cut porn.
as for special preparations, most of the guys in the bukkakes are amateurs so the anticipation I think is preparation enough, aside from testing thats it, that said in my version of bukkake its more of a blowbang because the girl is an active participant, there is oral sex.
I go to another forum where a porn cameraman made a similar AMA thread. He said he’s had sex with several well-known stars. Like, they would offer him BJs or straight up sex.
Way way to many to count as for on camera the ones I brouight into the biz who got some degree of fame
Felicia Foxx
Anna Malle
Anastasia Blue
Melissa Hill
Sana Fey
Midori
these are a few off the top of my head that shot the first time with me. As for off camera I will tell anything about me but I won’t kiss and tell unless she has done so first or its public knowledge.
I may have to check out your site. It is amazing how often the “behind the balls” shot is used when they do show insertion, or even a shot of the GUY’s face as it goes in. Especially ridiculous if the theme of the shot is a “first time with a huge one” kind of thing. The whole point is how she feels when it goes in, so it is just crazy not to show that.
Ah, I wondered if there was something along the lines of the old “no sex before the big game” sports cliche.
Some of these porn sessions are unbelievably long, sometimes almost an hour. Its hard for a regular dude like me to imagine being able to have sex that long and not have an orgasm. Do you ever have situations where the male actor has an orgasm early in the shoot then you cut and give him some time to regenerate and then resume shooting so as to make it appear that he is fucking the girl for all that time and only having one orgasm (the money shot), or do these guys genuinely have that much stamina?
Where do you tend to shoot? It seems like a lot of porn is shot in some rich dudes house. If that’s the case, do the homeowners ask any special favor to use their place besides money?
hotels sometimes, private property usually. L.A. is loaded with people who rent their Hollywood Hills homes out for shoots and its always for moeny rarely do they have any desire to be there The rules are leave it as you found it.
Thanks for starting this thread! Fascinating material and answers to a few questions I’ve wondered about for a long time!
I have a few questions myself.
Is there a such thing as venture capital for porn? Say for example I want to start my own production company but I know cameras, lights, performers etc aren’t just going to fall out of the sky and I’m probably going to need some major scratch up front to get started. So I put together a business plan and take it down to the bank. Do they laugh me out of there or do they say “here’s some money, just don’t tell anyone where you got it”? Or does porn venture capital come from an eastern European guy named Boris who will break kneecaps if the loan isn’t paid back on time and in full?
Suppose someone in your municipality (local or state government) had a morality attack and decided your business was the source of all evil in the world. Instead of getting on the soapbox and condemning you, they do shitty stuff like delay permits or come up with regulations you can’t possibly comply with. I realize this probably has never happened to you as you mentioned you keep the locals happy. However, should it happen, what would your course of action be? If I were to start a production company I’d worry about NIMBYs or more specifically BANANAs- Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything- we have lots here and I don’t have a first amendment to throw back at them. Nor do I have any money for lawyers.
Do you ever get complaints from fetishists who said you were doing so good until…? Like for example some gal is about to get down for a scene. She drops her leather miniskirt. Some fetishist (like me for example) says “OMG I can’t believe you let her take that skirt off! She could have fucked just fine in it!” And then she drops her panties and some other fetishist complains “OMG I can’t believe you let her take those panties off instead of pulling them to the side like I like to see!” And then she gets fucked out of her high heels and the complaints are “I can’t believe you let her drop those sexy shoes!” And so on. In other words, do you find that every scene is followed by a litany of complaints about what it could and or should have been? And how do you deal with that?
Is self-distribution via the internet the way to go nowadays or is it still recommended to get DVDs made and out to the stores? I suppose it’s not all that difficult to get a professional grade DVD presser but how would an independent convince stores to carry the product?
I have many more questions. Can I contact you directly through your site?
I have never had anyone injured on a set (knock on wood) for some shoots insurance is required but usually not, I do have a policy but I would prefer not to have to explain to the insurance company exactly what kind of commercial video I shoot LOL

Everyone in know, myself included is self financed. I have had offers to “invest” many times but I dont take investors. Im sure some have but my gut tells me the investor lost his money.

Oh they could make my life miserable if they chose to do so, no doubt, where as right now I’m not really underground I could be forced to go that route if I had to.
You did bring up a great point and thats the neighbors, they are the one thing that can bring you down the quickest whch is why I dont shoot in my house or neighborhood and when I do shoot at a private residence we either shuttle people in or make sure there is ample parking. We also make sure we give the neighbors no reason to complain, they usually have no idea what we are doing there.

LOL I get that about every time I shoot but mostly I try to mix it up enough that they understand I cant always please everyone but I do listen.

hands down the money is on the net now days I have many more questions. Can I contact you directly through your site?
What happens immediately after a shoot? I’d imagine maybe a few polite handshakes, some wiping down, maybe showering and the occasional “let’s meet up and do that again but on our own time”.
I never hear direction during anything I’ve seen with a few exceptions. Are you actively telling them how to position and such during the parts of the shoot we see? Is the direction just between the parts we see, or are you communicating with them and we just can’t hear it?
Do you look at sex differently than you did before entering the biz?
Other than being sex objects, porn actors are real people with real lives. In your experience what is life like for a typical porn actor when they’re off camera?
