The forecast looks bad but I need to lead a small crew in rowing an old wooden sailboat from the dock to a ramp to go on a trailer.
The environmental group I am part of has our festival this weekend. I have the crew lined up and a truck to pull the boat. All I need is a window of dry weather from about 6pm to 7pm. So having seen some past successes of good wishes on this board, I thought I would dip into the SDMB reservoir for some help.
If you can send positive thoughts to keep the rain away from Monmouth County, NJ until later in the night, I can use all the help we can get.

Thanks every one. So far we are still rain free and the satellite pictures look clear, but the reports still say 60% chance and possible thunder storms.
Hmmm. Last Thursday I took off work and my son and I did a day long kayak trip down the upper Allegheny. Though we hoped for good weather, we wound up spending about 20 minutes cowering under some trees on the bank, hoping the lightening would miss us.
While fair weather woulda been a plus, we had an awesome time. It was one of those father/son outings that we will both remember for a long time.
So, hope your weather is good, and that you have fun regardless.
I didn’t see this thread until just now (long after you needed my good thought) but, ummmmmmm, I was, ummmmmm, unconsciously wishing for good weather!?!?

The Festival is Saturday, August 16 & Sunday, August 17, 2008 11:00am - 7:00 pm.
There will be Three Stages of Music Both Days: West Stage, East Stage, & Circle of Song. The West Stage is a mix of Folk, Blues and Rock all day. The Circle of Song is pure old fashion Folk and Sea Shanties.
Oh, I’ve seen ads for this on TV! I wish I could come! Enjoy for me, OK? I love sea Shanties and the old stuff - Steeleye Span remains one of my favorite groups.
