Assembling the entire Beatles catalog

Awhile before I moved far from home, I sort of ransacked my mom’s collection of Beatles CDs, leaving her with only the tatters of a collection. This year, I’m going to fix all that by getting her EVERYTHING they did for Christmas.

But what’s the most efficient way to do that? Here’s the list of albums I know I’d have to buy so far:

Please Please Me
With The Beatles
A Hard Day’s Night
Beatles For Sale
Help!
Rubber Soul
Revolver
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Magical Mystery Tour
The Beatles (White Album)
Abbey Road
Let It Be
Past Masters, Vol. 1
Past Masters, Vol. 2
Live At The BBC
Anthology I-III

Anything else? I remember hearing that The Beatles released a Christmas song every year to members of their fan club, and I’d like to include even those songs if they’re available anywhere… anyone know how to get them?

Yellow Submarine

This also looks pretty good, though I’ve never heard it myself.

You pretty much have the entire official canon in your list. There are two editions of Yellow Submarine, the original soundtrack and the remastered & remixed “Songtrack” that was released along with the DVD. You can also add Let It Be … Naked, which may or may not be worthy but is an official Beatles release. If you want to get really crazy, the Anthology DVDs feature 5.1 remixes of numerous Beatles tunes.

There were also CD single releases from Live at the BBC and the Anthology (one each for “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love”) that contain bonus material not on the albums.

The Christmas fan club recordings are not officially available, but are easy to get if you know where to look.
