Assume I've been in a coma for 15 years.

Besides:

Game of Thrones
Rifftrax
Super-hero movies (I’m getting around to them. Just saw Iron Man.)
The new MST3K

recommend ANY Music, movies, tv shows, video games etc…books…

TV show: Lost.

Walking dead…and be mistaken ,thinking it is a documentary!!aarrgghh zombies!

Hancock.

Idiocracy-- so you can catch up on national politics.

Peter Jackson’s The Two Towers and The Return of the King would be a good place to start, assuming you saw Fellowship of the Ring right before you went under.

Pirates of the Caribbean
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Most of the Harry Potter movies
Firefly (you might have missed it) and Serenity

Breaking Bad.

And the entire Internet. I recommend Youtube for all your kitteh video needs.

Also, who’s been posting as you?

Since 2002? Then you missed the last seven seasons of Firefly. Although many people thought the last season was kind of weak.

Checked to make sure. You could have seen it just before you went under.

I saw this thread title and instantly thought, “Hum. I’ve been married just about that long” and came to a different conclusion as to what it might be about.

The Shield
Justified

Sherlock
The Colbert Report (not only will you have 9 years of brilliant entertainment, but you’ll catch up on all of the U.S. news you missed)
The Martian (book and movie – the rare case where they are both equally worthwhile)

Shameless
The Americans
By the way, you’ll never guess who got elected president…

Hitler?

Check out Battlestar Galactica. I know, they re-made/re-imagined it. It’s an incredible show and is, in my opinion, the greatest show of all time.

I will also recommend LOST, a truly great show.

Remember Mad Max? I know this is unbelievable, but the original director made a fourth one. it’s called Fury Road. Even more amazing, it’s the best action movie of all time and is probably the best movie released period from 2010-2017. Check it out.

Being able to binge watch this would almost make being in a 15 year coma worth it.

Books: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, All the Birds in the Sky
TV: The Good Place
Movies: Wall-E, Up, Arthur Christmas, Inglorious Basterds, Mr. Holmes, Mulholland Drive

Fringe - cool scifi/fantasy series that ran 5 seasons on FOX. John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop is one of my favorite fictional characters ever.

Plus, you get to watch Leonard Nimoy in a sci-fi series before he… oh. Never mind.
