At a cocktail/dinner party I can't pass up...

Veggies and french onion sour cream dip. Chips are ok, but veggies are the best.

Nuts, salted or praline style.

Guacamole- homemade and fresh.

Strawberries and whipped cream.

Olives and pickles. Little sausages.
Cake with lots of frosting or cookies/brownies, do nothing for me.

So… how about you?

Little itty bitty egg rolls. I love those things.

The open bar.

Oh, and the meatballs with the sweet sauce, and Lil’ Smokies.

Cold shrimp, with or without cocktail sauce. If I could just pull my chair up to the buffet table…

My mom was a big one for fixing “finger food,” although much of it needed at least a toothpick to handle. Among the things reminiscent of what she cooked (and therefore = NOM NOM NOM):

Deviled eggs – like crack, for sure

Meatballs or little sausages in some kind of yummy sauce

Stuffed celery

In the bacon category: whole water chestnuts wrapped in bacon

To be sure of finding any left, you want to make a point of getting to it before I do.

The hostess after a few drinks.

I love those little party bean burritoettes. akin the egg rollkies.

Rumaki for my gout.

… a martini.

After that, veggies and dip, little meatballs, and shrimp. No particular order; I like them all.

Thats what I was gonna say, except in my case, its the Bosses Wife after waaay too many drinks. Then there is the fistacuffs.

And Deviled Eggs. Did I mention I am no longer am employable?

Come on boys and girls, this far in and no love for the pigs in blankets – the food everybody likes to think they have to look down their nose at, but is always the first to be devoured?

I love them if they’re Lil’ Smokies in blankets. I just love Lil’ Smokies. I love them swimming in BBQ sauce, wrapped in blankets or just covered in their own grease. I know they’re probably little cholesterol laden death sticks but I loooove them.

I also love stuffed mushrooms, little quiches, cold shrimp and cocktail sauce, deviled eggs, assorted olives, 7 layer dip … ah hell, I’ll just have everything.

Ah, a kindred spirit!

I can’t turn down a good cheeseball. I especially like the ones with a little bleu cheese in the mix.

I would eat all of the green onions off a veggie tray if I had a chance.
