My mom was a big one for fixing “finger food,” although much of it needed at least a toothpick to handle. Among the things reminiscent of what she cooked (and therefore = NOM NOM NOM):
Deviled eggs – like crack, for sure
Meatballs or little sausages in some kind of yummy sauce
Stuffed celery
In the bacon category: whole water chestnuts wrapped in bacon
Come on boys and girls, this far in and no love for the pigs in blankets – the food everybody likes to think they have to look down their nose at, but is always the first to be devoured?
I love them if they’re Lil’ Smokies in blankets. I just love Lil’ Smokies. I love them swimming in BBQ sauce, wrapped in blankets or just covered in their own grease. I know they’re probably little cholesterol laden death sticks but I loooove them.
I also love stuffed mushrooms, little quiches, cold shrimp and cocktail sauce, deviled eggs, assorted olives, 7 layer dip … ah hell, I’ll just have everything.
