In 2017, Marissa Tomei will again portray Spider-man’s Aunt May.
Some on the internet get the idea that it makes sense that a teenager’s aunt would not likely be an old lady as Aunt May has traditionally been portrayed. But others have complained that it’s just not right for Aunt May to be “young and hot”.
As to her being young, consider that Marisa Tomei just turned 52.
Many 52 years olds may resist calling themselves old but very few would identify as young. It’s certainly old enough to be a teenager’s aunt. Still, Tomei’s Aunt May gets referred to as “young and hot” because, well, Marisa Tomei is insanely hot!
Personally, I can’t imagine her becoming anything less than insanely hot in the near future.
I thought I’d start a poll here so that everyone can make a prediction as to when Marisa Tomei will cease to be insanely hot. When that day finally comes (if, in fact it ever does), we can resurrect this Thread to see who came the closest to guessing correctly.
The poll options will not be descriptive, only dates/ages will be listed. So, use your post to describe how she will transition out of insane hotness (Will she become a sophisticated beauty? an attractive -but not insanely so- older woman? a handsome old broad? Will she transition from insane hotness immediately into homeliness?).
NOTE: As a point of reference, consider that Helen Mirren, who is still insanely hot, is currently aged 71 (as of the writing of this OP). Julie Christie, age 76, only recently transitioned from insanely hot to sophisticated older beauty (within the past 7 or 8 years, I wasn’t paying attention, not sure exactly when it happened).
I figure since Helen Mirren at age 71 shows no signs of ceasing to be insanely hot that it’s not out of the realm of possibility to break past 75 (although, I’d have thought that if anyone could do it, it would have been Julie Christie).
So, I’m going to conservatively predict age 80 for Marisa Tomei. After age 80 she will progress into a refined older beauty but not quite insanely hot.
I also selected 80 as the age when she might reasonable slide into “older beauty,” but she could blow through the octogenarian frontier with no loss of hotness. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that I’m only a couple of years behind her, so I’m like a high school freshman gazing at a super attractive senior girl who will always be out of my league.

Well, Blythe Danner shows no sign of cooling off at age 73…
