When I first moved to Cumming, I thought we were WAY out of town. Now, people commute downtown from Dahlonega.
Can’t make any promises (elderly parent issues), but it’s on my calendar!
Jeez. I commute from Decatur to Tucker, and think it’s a pain. I can’t imagine Dahlonega to Atlanta. But I do have a friend who commuted from Newnan to Midtown everyday. That’s a booger of a commute.
One of my co-workers does Newnan to Midtown. I can’t even imagine. My brother has been doing Marietta to John’s Creek for several months. Hopefully that will be ending over the summer.

Call me likely to be there - there’s one thing I’m not sure of that may affect whether I can, but I’ll know a week or so ahead of time.

I was looking forward to my first-ever doper meeting (despite being a 1999er), but I got a call today that my father has been hospitalized in Florida; I’ll be heading down there tomorrow.

Well, that was fun. Pizza? Check. Beer? Check. Interesting conversation? Check. Thanks to Enright3 (who wins the Furthest Traveled Award, for coming down all the way from Alpharetta), Lsura, and ISiddiqui for saving me from sitting in the restaurant all alone, looking like an idiot. Enjoyed meeting all of you, and maybe we’ll do it again, to catch the folks who couldn’t make it!
That was a pretty fun time! I enjoyed meeting some of y’all and maybe we’ll expand the pool going farther (and even if we don’t, it’d still be worthwhile :D).
Sorry I didn’t make it, the wifey was in the hospital all weekend with weird blood pressure stuff. Glad y’all had fun!
