It’s too bad that:
a) Y’all can’t do it the weekend of the 17th (which is the weekend of my Spelman class reunion), and that
b) I’m not going to the reunion anyway, because I’m going instead to see my niece and nephew in Detroit for their first birthday!
Failing that, it’s too bad I’m not wealthy enough to take more than one trip this year!
Otherwise, I’d be there with bells on!

I live on the Highland side of Ponce, a block away from the Clermont – I’m definitely down for ending up there (so I can stumble home), but I don’t think it’s the kinda place we want to meet up at. sKerri and sidle and other out of towners might be sucked into atlanta’s sinister and seedy underworld. 
(For the record, I’d love to see sKerri forced into participating in the Clermont’s beer can recycling program)
I’d offer up my pad, but it’s on the smallish side…maybe I could host a few people? Anyone besides me live inside the perimeter?

Well, I’m going down to Atlanta next year. Going to college at Emory. But that won’t be till August, probably a bit too late. But I’ll come if you have one 'round then.

How’s about if all of us true Atlanta Dopers (as opposed to those Dopers who don’t live here but would come here for a Dopefest) get together at a bar sometime soon to plan and discuss?

I dunno if my ultra-lame OTP ass is considered a “True Atlanta Doper” – I’m down for whatever. Name the Time and the place and I’m there (assuming it isn’t a Tue or Wed).

How about a Thursday night for the pre-Dopefest Dopefest? Come to think of it, we could even combine the Dopefest planning session with a round of Team Trivia. I think the Park Bench (formerly Jagger’s, over by Emory) has trivia on Thursdays.
(Plus, I’m pretty sure an OTP type like mouthbreather could never find his way over to the Park Bench, which will help keep down the obnoxious Yankee quotient.)

Or, come to think of it, we could do the same thing at Taco Mac (in Virginia-Highland) on Monday, May 13. Would that work for everybody?
Or here’s another pre-Dope/mini-Dope idea:
We could take a cooler and some lounge chairs over to the Starlight Drive-in on Sunday, May 19, and watch a coupla cheesy monster movies.
(Y’all stop me when you hear an idea you like.)
I like both those ideas, but we wouldn’t get much planning done at the drive-in, what with the movies to watch and all.
Let’s do Monday at Taco Mac, since otherwise it would only have been you and I for the trivia.
And since we’ll be planning, I’ll bring the graph paper and t-square.

So Taco Mac on Monday will be spoke-, mouthbreather and I? Anyone else?
I have a legimate excuse this time - I have to be in Greenville, GA Monday through Thursday and don’t know what time I’ll make it back into town. Also, I’m supposed to be in Sandy Springs at 7PM and I don’t even know if I’ll make that.
But I’ll watch for the big 'fest. If I haven’t moved to Knoxville yet, I may actually show. But that means it has to be before August 3rd.
