Today Duke hurdled the makeshift “fence” we put up (yet another thing we plunked down money for —$100 — the dog gate, which wasn’t even tall enough after all, and still isn’t even tall enough when we stood it on giant bins (please ignore the overgrown grass)) and made his way to the front gate at the sidewalk, where we do not want him because he will bark at and scare the people walking their dogs down to the beach. And it is not meant to keep giant dogs in!
So now we’re going to have to have a new — real — gate built where we don’t want or need a gate otherwise. Great.
You rock!
So here’s an update, but not on the dogs. Not that she doesn’t have every right to, but we were just a wee bit rankled to see about half a dozen photos posted on the former owner’s FB page, gushing about how much fun their baby is having in the back yard …
Yeah, now that my husband and I spent two entire days (long days!) breaking our backs to clean out a year’s worth of shit and piss and garbage and weeds (without either of you lifting a single finger to help), and then took the dogs you had imprisoned back there to our house so you could even bring him back there in the first place. But not a word of thanks to us for making it possible.
Selfish jerk.
On a brighter note, here’s a new picture of Lola bug. (No idea why I started calling her that, but I think it’s kind of cute.)
Those people are jerks of the first water - 100% pure jerk.
Yep. Now she’s posting pictures of random dogs doing bad things on the (thankfully defunct) FB page we originally set up for them, like this one, with the caption, “Lola was always the guilty one.” What the hell, lady? We’re trying to get them adopted! Why on earth would you want to scare prospective new owners with images of a dog destroying your stuff? ESPECIALLY since I’ve told you that she isn’t doing that here. Clearly you had a behavioral problem with her. We don’t!
I wish she would STFU and go away already.
