… I need some advice.
I am currently a respiratory therapist who wants to go into nursing, and I got one of their brochures in the mail to attend a seminar next month.
When I went to the website however, I found that even though they say they are not affiliated with any other school or college, they apparently must be because Excelsior College provides their testing materials.
I tried to get more info off the website, but when I tried to enter Respiratory Therapist as my job description, it kicked me out due to the fact that I wasn’t an LPN or RN eligible applicant.
I was told I could “challenge” this, and that other RT’s and even EMT’s had done so and graduated from the “at your own pace” program, and this really appeals to ne, because I can study at night while not busy on my normal RT job, plus my hospital will reimburse me my expenses.
Do you know of anyone who wasn’t a nurse who’s been accepted into this program, and what must I do to challenge a decision not to allow my job classification into the program?
Thanks!
