James Doohan had some good bits in the series. “Let’s see if he has the belly for it.” It is a shame they used him for comic relief in the films.

The “Smart ass!” was a reference to the infamous TOS blooper reel. It was also featured in the short story Visit to a Weird Planet Revisited by Ruth Berman.
But it would have been the logical thing to do. Jealousy, like pain, is merely a thing of the mind. :rolleyes:
After a time, they may find that having a luxury car is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting a luxury car. It is not logical, but it is often true.
