Audio Equalizer for windows? Or for Browser

Years ago i had a nice addon to my chrome browser that gave me equalizer in youtube and other sound sources in the browser. I can not find it again after i got a new pc a few years ago, i think it was called EQsomething, but it had gone unsafe to use.

Does anyone know of a sound equilizer for windows or a plug in that is safe for a browser? I dont want to take chances. Must be an sound adjuster for windows surely? I just want more bass.

It used to come with soundblaster software, but those times might be gone

Right click the speaker icon doesn’t get you there?

There’s actually a bass boost feature built into Windows, but it’s a bit buried in the settings.

Right click on the volume icon in the bottom right. Choose Sounds. Then choose the Playback tab, and look for your speakers. Click the Properties button. Then look for an Enhancement tab. If you have one, you will be able to enable bass boost.

It’s also possible that you just need to install an app for your (likely built-in) sound card. The brand name should be shown when you look into the stuff I mentioned above. If you find it, you can then just open the Microsoft Store and look for the app for your sound card. In my case, I found the Realtek app.

As for an EQ in Chrome, the best I can do is link you to the Chrome app store, where you can try out different once. I can’t recommend any of them, since I don’t use them.

Thank you BigT, i did find the bass enhancement buried conveniently far inside the depths of the device options. It did actually make a difference! But i wish they still provided a global equalizer in windows, so i didnt have to install dubious add-ons to my browser…

So, thank you for your suggestion - now i just need some more discant and then i will be set

Chingon - that looks promising, im a bit busy now on christmas time, but i will definately check that out!

Thank you all for your contributions!

(Equalizer APO seems like a pretty advanced application, but if i follow the steps decribed in the walktrough on their web site, i might be able to make it work. I have worked on PCs since the 80s, but not for the last 15 years, so there are lots of skills ive lost. But thumbs up for your suggestion  )
