They ran. That’s why they’re not here.
So the song we are looking for in Guadalcanal by Duran Duran?
A-Ha. Looks like something we need to FIXX before they reach the beach. Because, as you well know, one thing leads to another. And, apparantly, they were’t willing to take on me. What a soft cell.
Because they raaaaaan. They ran so far away. Right?
But I thought they couldn’t get away? I know this much is true.
I think the song is “Where Is My Mind” by The Pixies.
Anyone that spends more than 5 minutes a day at Ars Technica will get that one.
Oh, yeah. I’ve seen her on the beach, and I’ve seen her on TV.
No jokes here, just wanted people to know I’m going to see Duran Duran in May, or it might be March
…
…will they be playing Rio, by any chance?
No, they only played it once. In 196…
No, I won’t do it.
No.
Her name was Lola.
She was a showgirl.
This thread is a rio -t
That was my first guess, too, when I first saw this thread, and then I wondered how I could be so silly. I guess there was something in the air that night.
It was late December back in '63, what a special time for me
Oh what a night
And now, I am singing “Her name is Rye-O, and she dances on the sand…”
But that was thirty years ago when they use to have a show.
Now it’s a disco…
but do they ever play that song with a three-letter title by that good-looking, well-dressed New Wave group?
I think you might be thinking of “Rio” by Duran Duran. I could be wrong though.
Simpsons? You mean Lisa Lisa? No? Ah, que sera, que sera.
I think that Black Flag did a song called “Rio by Duran Duran.” It ended with the sounds of the singer getting strangled.
I was in a band that covered that song, but only when club owners said that the set was too short and refused to pay us unless we got back on the bandstand.
So…
you were playing “Rio” and you were dancing on the stand?
