August Londope -- plan now, and avoid the rush

I shall taunt her into attending.

Tir, if you don’t come, I’ll tell everyone about the pigeon!!

What’s the weather like these days in London? Can someone link me to a (haha) accurate weather forecast? Packing is hard when you don’t know if it’ll be as warm as sub-Saharan Africa or as cold as, well, London.

I always find London too hot for me. Even in February.
Met office forecast for weekend is max temp 24, overcast.

It hasn’t been too hot since last weekend. I’ve started wearing a jacket again.

have you got peoples mobile numbers?

if not i’ll email you mine.

The weather here is jumper/overshirt weather - not partcularly hot but not overly cold either

I’ll see you all at Nelson’s enormous erection at 2:00.

Annie! you promised! wails

Seriously guys, thanks so much for the offers, but I doubt I’ll be there this weekend even if I win the lottery, I got a stinking cold.
Picking up some antibiotics tonight, so no beer or ciggies and I’ve lost my voice so no quiz, and I doubt you really wanna watch me throw up every time I cough! Although I suppose there would be some amusement factor in it if I first swallowed interesting objects, and you could run a book on the diced carrots, I think the novelty would wear off pretty quick!

garius, could you email me your mobile number as well? thx

Its winging its way across the pond to you faster than a GI with a suitcase full of Nylons.

I’m not going to be able to make 2.00pm, either. I’ve saved myself £13 on the fare and won’t get in 'til 3ish, then I’ve got to check in etc. Garius, would you email me your no. so I can catch up with you all?

Winging its way to bournemouth faster than a…

erm…

faster than…

faster…
[sub]damn[/sub]

Certainly faster than the National Rail, anyway.

Hello again everyone.

New plan, I think I will be able to come after all, but I’ll get a return ticket and get the train home at midnight, avoiding paying for, and being in time to book, a london hotel. Unless it looks like the party’ll be lively for another 7 hours, in which case I’ll get the first train in the morning

Who’s there at 2pm? Any couple of people (garius?) want to mail me their mobile nos, in case of accidents? Mine is 07733208255. (I’ll risk stalkers.)

Thanks for suggesting this… barring accidents see you all in a couple of days.

Going by train over the bank holiday weekend, you’ll be lucky !

Hmm, thanks… I was aware and inconvenienced by maidenhead/slough. But maybe I shouldn’t try from cambridge either…

Would anyone like to meet up earlier and go for a wander aroundthe V & A museum?

I’ve been told it is well worth a visit.

Tonight is Friday. We (at least Mo (Curlychick), Fran and AlexB and hopefully Tansu, if she’s about will go to DishDash on Goodge Street.

I can’t get a hold of Fran. The work number she gave me doesn’t work and I don’t have her home number. Could anyone pass that message to her?

Thanks. If any of you are about and want to eat a non-authentic persian meal with an authentic Persian, meet us. It’s on Goodge Street and our ressies are for 8 pm in the name of Annie.

London is so amazing.

Boohoo! It looks like I’ll be able to make it. Dang and blast it! :frowning: Darn new woman let me down - imagine wanting to go to Venice instead of having a day in bed with me, the very idea!
Well it looks like I might be down at Nelson’s column at 2 then…

Yay! Gotcher message Annie - see you there. Everyone else - see you tomorrow! Yay!

I’ll try for Nelson’s Column at 14:00. Look for a tall guy with spectacles, black hair and beard. I’ll probably be wearing a panama and sports jacket. And a pocket-watch.
