Someone else can work out which is the best weekend with regards to people travelling, (as I don’t know where everone is based).
I think it would be nice to try and pick a weekend which suits best the people who are actually making an effort to come to London, us Londoners can always meet up pretty much whenever we want. I agree it seems fairer to make it a DexDope, so I guess we’re looking at the 23rd or the 30th really.

But it’s still yukky. If we go for the 23rd, then I can’t make it. But if we go for the 30th then Sir Doris and Tir and Twisty can’t make it, which makes it a pale imitation of a UK Dopefest in my own humble opinion. And where’s Tansu on all these lists?

Frankly, I am keen to go, but in light of a recent discovery, I’m not so sure I will be able to attend.

Random question - if we’re finding it quite so difficult to get everyone to meet up in the latter half of August, how about the first week of September instead? Presuming C K Dexter Haven will be in the UK then?

Twisty might still be able to make it over for another date, but it’s a cert that he will be over for the Bank Holiday, as that means I get to snuggle him for an extra day without him having to take time off work.
Hmmmmmm - right now, please don’t make any plans around Shayna and myself. If we can make it over (and dammit, we’d love to!), it’ll be on the 30th. But right now, plane fares look pretty insane - as in $900 per capita - and that’s a bit out of our budget. IOW, please don’t make plans as if it’s a given that we’ll be there on the 30th.
