There is an alternative that is even less recommended. 
Two things that should me regular threads- I just don’t feel like starting them.
Two people, a married couple, in one of Pennsylvania’s suburban counties were arrested and made the nightly news. The husband filmed his wife having sex with boys- as in male minors. They were caught because they uploaded the videos to sites devoted to child sex abuse material.
Both of them were police officers.
The news stories last night and tonight did not say how old the boys were. I am curious because I want to know exactly how horrified and disgusted to be.
Second, at 6 pm a plane crashed in northeast Philadelphia. Sometimes they say Roosevelt and Cottman. Sometimes that say Bustleton and Cottman. It doesn’t really matter, those intersections are a block or two apart. It is already a high traffic area with many auto accidents. I am assuming that besides the people who were on the plane, several carloads of people were killed.

I just found a scratch on one of my lenses of my daily wear glasses. It’s close to the nosepiece, so it’s rather noticeable when I look at my laptop, if it’s on my lap. For work I wear other glasses, so it’s not critical. But it’s annoying and means I should probably replace them. And if I replace them, I should get my eyes checked. And if I’m going to do that, I might need to replace my other glasses. And my husband got his glasses the same time as I did, so he’ll probably want to check his as well. Hopefully his are okay. Otherwise I’m looking at maybe 4 pairs of glasses.
Glasses are 4.5 years old, so they’re not new. Still prefer not to have to get new glasses.

I’m not sure why an accident is deserving of a rant, but at this point, approx 20 hrs after the crash the media is citing seven dead (all six on the plane & only one on the ground) & 19 injured, so no, several carloads of people were not killed.
I like how you turned a scratched pair of glasses into 4-5 new pairs & two eye exams, & a colonoscopy, & a mammogram, & a ___
