Billy Thorpe passed away this morning in Sydney from a heart attack.
He’s one of those old rockers, top of the charts in the 60’s and 70’s, but even as recently as last week was still pulling the crowds in pub gigs around the state. Apparently he was a genuinely nice guy as well.
Wow, there’s a memorable name from the past. Children of the Sun had really put him on the charts. I’d lost touch but it’s nice to see he was still going strong and providing enjoyment for others (and himself!) until the end. Yes, he seemed like a pretty good guy. Thanks, kambuckta.
