When I was in grade school, I read a book called “War of Wizards” (or maybe “War of the Wizards”) but I can’t seem to be able to google the author. I get some results off google, but not the one I had in mind. The only characters I still remember are Aldebaran, Three and the Formless One. I’m trying to find out who the author of the book was - can anyone help me?
No, but thanks, though.
Maybe these guys?
Andrew J. Offutt & Richard K. Lyon
War of the Wizards 1 - Demon in the Mirror
War of the Wizards 2 - The Eyes of Sarsis
War of the Wizards 3 - Web of the Spider
Nope. Thanks anyway. I’ve tried searching for the answer on the webs but I don’t think it’s posted anywhere. I remember enjoying the book as a kid but can’t for the life of me remember all the plot points. It had something to do with the Formless One seeking more power and that a witch named Melinda? or someone else enlists Aldebaran to fight. Along the way, they got the help of a wizard named Three. I wanted to read it again to see if it’s really any good or if my appreciation is colored by the fact that it was the first fantasy book I’ve read.
(bump - to give this question another chance)
Okay, if you’re serious about wanting to find this, you need to give us more information.
You say you read it in “grade school”. How old are you? When you say “grade school”, do you mean k-5, k-6, k-8? This info will help us determine the actual year(s) when you would have read this book, which would help us eliminate books which were published later than the one you read.
Where did you go to school? Are you American, British, Australian, Canadian? Where you lived may make a difference in what books were readily available to you as a child.
How did you get this book? Was it part of a TAB books order you made in school; did you find it in the school library; did your mom or dad buy it for you at a drugstore?
Do you remember the cover art at all?
More info means a more likely ID.
