AutoCadLT setup question

We use Acad LT 97 in our office. We just installed Acad onto a new computer and the setup is the stock layout; white background, toolbars on the left and top.

We have a setup of toolbars, colours, etc. that we like on the other computers. How do I copy those settings to the new program?

please email to mikegdkb@att.net if you know the answer!

Thanks a lot.

I’ll post here as well as email, in case anybody else is interested. I’m currently using ACAD LT2000, but I believe that transferring custom layouts is still essentially similar.

You merely need to copy the relevant files from your old directory to the new one. Don’t forget to backup the originals! In LT2000, the files are in the c:\ACAD\Support directory. In LT97 I believe they are in the root ACAD directory.

The relevant files for LT2000 are:

aclt.dwt, aclt.mnc, aclt.mnr, aclt.mns, aclt.mnu, aclt.pat, aclt.pgp, aclt.unt.

There may be slight differences in file names, e.g., acltiso.mnu, etc., but the above should give you the idea.

You’ll probably want the aclt.cfg, too.

Thanks for the replies!I copied aclt.* and everything is wonderful now. I had to mess with the preferences etc., but we’re all on the same page now.
Once again, SD makes me look good!
