Sci-fi channel is playing “Automan” all day for their “superhero-zone”. Heehehe. This is such schlock! Too bad I have to get back to work.

Oh yeah. Cursor kicks ass. I think Cursor should get together with Bit from Tron and have little dotty offspring. Maybe a daughter called “Pixel”.
I was in college when automan was first on (I chcked IMDB), but I have no memory of ever watching this show, which is just as well because it’s utter crap. I’ve seen the actor who plays Automan in those Zyrtec commercials, and he’s still yummy!
I want my own Cursor, dammit!

Because they do rotate “Manimal” in their “Creatureland” mini-marathons every two or three months.
WOW! I thought that show was locked in a vault! All I remember was that his suit glowed sparkly blue, his cursor made anything, he could go “inside” that other guy who created him, and that his car cornered better than the General Lee and KITT could dream of. This show was as nerdy as they get, but I was in grade school then, and I loved it. Hee hee.
“Automan”. Boy does that bring back memories. It was my brother’s favorite show when we were in middle school. Chuck Wagner came to an auto show in Kalamazoo in 1984 and my brother got his “autograph” (pun intended).
There’ve been a couple other Automan threads. I still can’t believe I have no recollection of it outside the Sci Fi repeats. This is just the kind of show I’d have watched when I was that age.
Dragwyr, I lived in Kalamazoo in 1984 ('76 to '86, actually). Did we know each other? Where’d you go to high school? I went to Norrix.

The only thing I remember distinctly was wondering when he cornered at 90 degree angles in his car, wouldn’t he kill his passenger?
Well, they did show a scene (from the pilot?) where Automan was driving with the other guy, and when Automan made a 90-degree turn, the guy suddenly went SMACK! against the passenger-side door window…
(But what would Automan say if he was chasing a crook who made a 70-degree turn to escape? “Cursor, foiled again!”)
