We had a bit of a t-storm blow through here a while ago, but it seems okay now. I sure am glad there’s only two more work days left this week. LOL
Anyways, my area VP is trying to kill me. I found out he was visiting this week(Big thank you to my idiot assistants for not calling me). He was supposed to show up Monday night, so I worked to close. The he was supposed to show up this morning, bright and early. I waited. All day. Now he’s supposed to show up tomorrow A.M. , when I was supposed to come in late. I think the SOB even drove through my parking lot about 4p.m. If he isn’t here by noon, I will hunt him down and kill him(mostly kidding). Anyways:

Plans for today, apart from running to the pharmacy and the grocery store, involve putting color on a buttload of dry ceramic pieces. I’ve got 4 that my sweetie will make wooden lids for, one that’ll need a cork, and the rest are what they are. I’d also like to roll out slabs for more kitteh bodies. And I should mow the yard…
And I swear, I’m going to quit reading joke threads on here, because inevitably within the first 10 posts, someone has to do: “What’s brown and sticky?” GAH! Enough already! It’s not that funny!! I just ran down to the nearby convenience store to fill my car and get me some caffeine. As I was going in to get my diet coke, a woman was walking out. She was very heavy and braless - and I don’t see how she wasn’t in pain! Them thangs were just flopping around, doing gravity’s bidding. *OUCH *:eek:
Just killing a little more time - the pharmacy opens at 9, I think. Maybe 8, but I’d rather not have to wait around down there, so I’ll futz around here. Meatloaf for supper, which means I’ll need to make smashed N.O.T. with gravy, plus some sort of vegetable substance - we’ll see what looks good. And maybe some fungi for the gravy. Or onions. We shall see…

Irish Brother hooked up his Mac Craptop so I can surf the web without having to use Moody Friend’s computer. MF has remote access to his computer from work and sometimes he surfs the web while he’s on break. I don’t blame him. I’m going into Day 3 of computer training because it takes the site sixty-five seconds (I counted) to load each module so I can learn to use the reservation software. The actual software works much faster. It would have to.
Off to waste the morning before I go in to work tonight. Curse you night shifts! Curse yoooooooouuuuuu!

The ammonia trick worked on the coons that terrorized the garbage cans when we lived in Indiana.

Welcome to the MMP, Baby D! I might agree about stickers on high end cars, but sometimes I think truck owners drive straight from the dealership to “truck stuff” store to get shiny clean stickers for their shiny clean vehicles. How about it, swampy?? Do you have your favorite NASCAR driver immortalized on your new truck…? 
The ones that kill me are usually on ratty sports-cars - “Gas, grass, or ass - nobody rides for free” - um, I’m not riding in that thing without shots. :eek:
Back from the pharmacy (Damned lipitor was almost $100 for 90 days!) and grocery (Turkey Hill ice cream was $1.99!!! ) I will be changing into grubbies shortly, then I’ll start applying underglaze to various and sundry pieces.
**Puggy **- thanks - I’m really pleased with the way cat #1 came out. I need to create a logo - I’m going to call them Kitschy Cats, and I intend to number them as I go along. Oh, and Tigger belongs to a coworker of mine. My daughter house-sat for her a couple of times, and she brought Tigger over here when she and her spousal unit had plans, so we puppeh sat for a few hours. Scruffy was *not *impressed.

Puggy, the irony of my applying for the job is that it’s the same office. We’ve been without a branch chief since 1 February. Consequently, my co-worker and I have been filling in to her job plus ours.
Like I said yesterday, I’m not going to fret one way or the other. I truly am ambivelent about the whole thing. The raise, small as it would be, would be nice, I guess, but I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle.
Today is my Friday. Woot and woot! I’m glad, because I’ve had enough of this place for this week.
I should plow into my work today. I’ve got lots of reports to queue up and lots to run for today. I’ve got other stuff going on too, but the list is too long.
