(Automotive) - What is this part called?

I need to find a replacement part for my vehicle and I don’t know what to call it to even search for it.

In this photo, you can see it in the bottom left corner. See the two parallel rectangles, one black and one grey? I am referring to the grey one on the far left. It is a piece of plastic trim that snaps in place.

I thought it might be a rocker panel/cover, but I’m having no luck with such a search.

Thanks!

Don’t know where you’re located, or what the body shop situation is like where you are, but in your position, I would be likely to go to my friendly neighborhood body shop, and ask a service writer to come out to the parking lot and identify it for me.

ETA: I wish I could provide a more useful answer. If no Dopers come along who can identify it, give that a shot.

Such pieces are typically called door sills or door sill plates.

I think it’s a kanooten valve, or a shraddis.

I think it’s a scuff plate, sill protector is the piece on the right.

If you provide the make/model/year, you might get a precise answer of not only the proper name of the part, but also including the part number and maybe even a link to where you might buy it and for how much.

It is an electro-dynamic retro generator. Everybody knows that.

As mentioned, door sill trim or scuff plate.
