Average Joe 2/23 (spoilers please)

This is definitely true. I’ve read that both Average Joe series were taped before the first one aired, and it’s been noted by the Joe who lost all the weight afterward that he had six months in which to do it. So the show was filmed in the middle of last year, giving plenty of time for them to reconcile over the divisive “Fabio” issue.

Did anyone see them on the Today show, and can they sum up what was said?

I only saw the last three episodes of this show. What was Larissa’s initial reaction when she found out she was on a dating show with “Average Joe’s”? Was she disappointed? I ask because I’m not yet sure how much I should actually *hate * her.

She acted as if she had some profound romantic feelings for him. I think she lead him on big time!

Brian took it like a man, which I was very happy to see. I really hope we haven’t seen the last of him.

I think it would have been great if Gil heard about Fabio, then walked out to sea… and kept walking, and walking, until his head disappeared, and he was never seen again. It would have been so stoic.

Where am I getting that idea from? A movie?

It’s the ending of A Star Is Born!

It’s also the end of Coming Home.

Welease Bwian!
(Psst, sir, we do have a Brian!)

Since I taped it, I’m late to the thread, but I think she picked Gil to see his “O” face. Doesn’t he totally look like that guy? “Lumburgh f*cked her.”

I post on Television Without Pity, so I’m all about the snark. But I felt SO bad for Brian.

I agree that was the silliest “twist” on reality TV. “You reap what you sow”, beeyatch! Oh, wait, that’s another show. Oops!

Er … huh?

Office Space. Rent it, laugh your ass off.

My friends and I have been talking like Brian for the last couple of weeks. “There’s a BAWX around my HAAAAAAAAHT!!!” I can just imagine him watching that episode with his friends at the Cask N Flagon, saying “FAAAAABIO!!! Oh my GAAAAAAHD!!!”

Speaking of Fabio, I can kind-of see where the guy was coming from. She kept selling herself as this kind-hearted woman who is looking for a deep, meaningful relationship, and then she reveals that she fell for perhaps the cheesiest mimbo on the planet. As soon as I heard that, I turned to my wife and said “I can’t believe he’s not…better.”
