Awake canceled

I remembered that line too, and it seemed like an unusual nugget of information to drop. I took a look back at episode 11 (“Say Hello to my Little Friend”) and both the mom and kid are wearing pullover hoodies in the accident flashbacks, but that doesn’t rule out that wasn’t the same day.

I can’t remember either if they ever mentioned what time of year it was when it occured, but if it had been 6 mos in Michael’s experience, then it seems reasonable he could’ve taken his son to registration that day, since school was already in session when the show began.

Anyone?

I thought that too. Especially because he said something to his shrink about going back in time and fixing everything.

Ahh, nice catch.

Is it my imagination, or did the soundtrack quote Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem?

Don’t really have much to say about the finale, but I did want to say it was weird that they bothered to bill Rex’s tennis instructor as a regular when she disappeared completely about a third of the way into the season. I kept expecting that she was going to turn back up and actually do something important.

Maybe we would have seen a lot more of her if the show got a second season.

The impression I got was that they were essentially going for a Quantum Leap type ending. The protagonist in a moment of desperation is thrust into a reality bending journey that is beyond his conscious control but perhaps is influenced by his subconscious needs. Having finally resolved his basic goals, he learns to consciously choose his new path.

That’s kind of interesting. Do away with the whole one reality and one dream thing, and instead have him leaping into different versions of himself in different realities. Still not sure a season of that would be very successful, but it probably wold be better than what we got.

Thanks, everyone, for telling me what happened in the finale. Sheesh. I now have no regrets about ditching the show pretty early on.
