The most expensive coffee in the world won the 1995 Ig Nobel award for Nutrition. For those of you who don’t know about the Ig Nobel awards, they are awarded for results in science that cannot or should not be reproduced.
IIRC, luak (luwak) coffee was served at the awards ceremony. Whether anyone actually drank the stuff was not reported. As for me, I like to be the first creature to consume my coffee.
