It looks so unreal. Almost like a photoshop edit, but nature is so inventive…

I was thinking it’s a civet. Looks like a pretty good match: http://images.google.com/images?q=civet&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search
It’s definitely a civet.
Certainly a civet, I think specifically a Spotted Linsang Prionodon pardicolor of southeast Asia.
More information on the species is here
I think that’s the creature… thanks all!
I had to go out to my trash and retrieve a 16 page insert that came with my Sunday Daily News. It’s called ‘LIFE’…but, certainly not the large mag from years ago. Any way, there is an article about the trip that Colombian coffee beans take from field to American consumer…Starbucks, actually. I quote from one part of the story.
“The world’s most expensive coffee is Indonesia’s Kopi Luwak, the beans of which are consumed and then excreted by a small CIVET cat. It sells for $300.00 per pound.”
Same cat??
Nope. That’s courtesy of the Palm Civet:

The Master speaks: Does kopi luwak coffee come from pre-eaten beans?
