I think a bear would make a good pet.” The cunttrumpet also took pictures of himself running over the bear cub with a jetski so he could give them to the local paper. Thought it would make a good photo op.
I should correct my earlier statement: the picture he took was of the cub on the jetski, not of him running over it (which would have been darn difficult to do).
What I find most disgusting, besides the act itself, is that he may get a $2000CAD fine, and hasn’t been charged with anything!

Why couldn’t they bring the bear back to where he was initially taken and see if they could find his mom? Is seven months anywhere near old enough for him to be out on his own?

And what about the people ? How would they be able to recognize the tame bear from a wild one ? Isn’t it also more likely that children used to the tame bear would be less wary about a wild one ?

I hate retaliations, but when you harm an animal, part of me really wants to inflict pain on you. I began to wish a 7 month old cub was more able to defend itself - like with its teeth. Maybe a large hole in your arm would teach you that bears do not make good pets (but I doubt it would stop you, you idiot.) And for the record, I doubt this “pet” would have been well-treated.
I don’t think the fine is near enough of a punishment, I think he should be charged with something, but I don’t think “stupidity” is against the law … yet.
I too wish that they’d dropped the bear off at a location closer to home and family.
Did anyone else see the footage of the black bear shot with a tranquilizer gun, who fell onto a trampoline and bounced! It survived, and is fine, apparently. It’s copyrighted material, so I won’t link to it. It was the most amazing thing I’d seen all week. In a weird way.

I feell the same way as bob though, why didnt they bring the cub back to the river where his mom and sibling was? Thats really sad that hes on his own now
