Assuming that Mom is telling the truth, I can’t see why they should have been kicked off. Apparently the kid was not crying or refusing to get in his seat. He was just saying “Bye bye plane” repeatedly. Cute or annoying? That’s your call. But not a boot-able offense, I think.
Huh. If true as she tells it, the whole thing was handled way wrong and the flight attendant deserves some kind of action against her. Just for being rude, if nothing else, esp. if she really said, “Okay you need to shut your baby up.”
But the mother should have shut that kid up. It’s bad enough to listen to adults having their cell phone conversations but to have to listen to a high-pitched toddler’s voice saying the same.three.words over and over and over is like Chinese water torture. I would have had to bite my tongue to not say the same thing the FA said.
I don’t know why some parents must think that just because they are filled with wonderment at the adorable cuteness of the spawn of their loins that everyone else must be too.
Yes, she could definitely be one of those mothers who delight in baby’s every word or high-pitched squeal, and believes that everyone around her does, too. I agree with the same three words over and over thing. That’s been known to drive me to want to kill. But it sounds like the attendant was being a total bitch, and the mom and kid should not have been kicked off, unless new information comes to light.
Certainly a crazy situation if the mom’s story is true but who knows?
