To all the Tanookie-pregnancy watchers out there - today is the day! I don’t have much time - I need to get back to the hospital after dropping the imp off at grandma’s house - so here is a quick update for anyone who might be interested.
Tanookie’s routine doctor’s appointment this morning turned up signs of preeclampsia so we have a c-section scheduled for this afternoon after I get back to the hospital. Everyone should be fine but it is time to get the baby out of there so that Tanookie’s health doesn’t suffer.
I’ll keep everyone posted when I can - it seems that neither of our kids wanted to make this easy for us. =)
In simplest terms–it’s dangerously high blood pressure. Once it sets in it progresses very quickly, so best to get the little one out ASAP for both mom and baby’s sake.
Good thing Tanookie’s under watchful care.
Best of luck to the whole Parallax and Tanookie family and prayers for a healthy safe delivery of Baby Boy Paranookie.
Wooooo! When I saw this thread title my thought process was, “Hmm. Baby. Tanookie is having a baby. Tanookie is having a baby in October. Today is October. … Oh! Tanookie is having her baby!” You know, years from now you can tell the little guy (it is a little guy, right?) that people all over the world were excited about his birth. That’s pretty neat
Yay Paranookie family! Congratulations!
And keep us updated!
