How. Could they not. Have lynched Lakai. That’s all.
We gave way too much credence to pima’s reading of Town. He might yet get lynched on suspicion of being the Godfather.
Well howdy-doo y’all!
That was really fun. Thanks NAF for your time and creativity. They combined to make a real game of it. And a big hoo-ah! to all the players who beat me in here. Nicely played all.
And hocow, it was me who used that tip-off on nesta during my mafia-kill win phase. I hope I never said anything close to that in the game thread, but I ain’t gonna go look no more.
Again, thanks all.
Eh? Did I ever mention MM and SKing? I can’t remember :smack:
No, but you said this, which by the Law of Sod pretty much guarantees the SK’s going to be pushing up daisies before the ink has had time to dry. ![]()
Ha! I knew you were the Serial Killer! I knew it! Ha!
Ok, actually, I had absolutely no idea. Damn, good job dude. Someone explain to me why in the hell hocow got lynched though, I don’t get it.
I think that the Mafia had a lot to do with that.
Agreed, interesting that Pygmy Rugger was up there, then votes for hocow seemed to come from no where. My top two scum candidates are definitely Pygmy Rugger and Fretful Porpentine. I think if they can manage to get **Pygmy Rugger ** lynched and analyze the votes and the players that kept distracting suspicion from him, they can at least take out a couple more mafia before the end. FTR, I’m also not completely sold that **Queuing ** is town; in fact, I’m more sold that he might be scum than I was a few game days before. Interestingly, I’m less sold that Lakai is scum than I was before.
Something similar happened soon after Aguecheek claimed. Pleonast, cowgirl and I piled on MadTheSwine instead, and the next thing we knew, he’d been lynched. I think that the Mafia saw a chance to save Aguecheek and rode it. And, typically for me, I never said a word about it because I wanted to watch a little longer and see what would happen. Story of the game for me. Every time I thought that I picked up on something, I sat on it and waited until it was too late.
Sure, but I think the same thing happened to hocow that happened the previous two days: someone got speedlynched. I pointed it out each time, and yet it still happened. It’s very frustrating, especially now that I’m dead. Oh well, nothing to be done I suppose.
DING DING! Can you say any more clearly that you’re scum? The common town belief is that there are four scum left, yet you say quite distinctly “they” only have to kill 2 more townies during the day. That would seem to imply that you know there are 3 scum left.
Hurry up and kill this guy already town. Don’t buy it!
Nice pick up, Blaster.
BM’s last post made me wonder…
We are fast approaching endgame, and I am curious what the people not playing (think they) are able to see that the players are missing.
Anyone want to list who they think the remaining mafia are and why?
A genuine marvel no prize to the person who comes closest. Two of them if you correctly pick the GF.
Lakai: GF
Queuing: Scum
Story: Scum.
References and reasons upon request.
Hey everybody, long-time lurker, first-time poster here… just thought I’d go ahead and give my opinion(s) before time ran out.
Mafia:
Pygmy Rugger
brewha
Lakai (godfather)
As for everyone else, the Mafia should’ve taken out Fretful Porpentine a long, long time ago; she’s been uncannily accurate throughout the entire game. (For a while there I was thinking that either FP or MM was the serial killer, since they were so good. I’m glad to see I was right about one of them!) However, if there’s another Beat Cop in this game, I think it’s going to be Storyteller–he voted for FCOD and Pygmy Rugger well before either bandwagon formed.
Regardless of any of the above, I hope that Kat ends up as the godfather: she’s good at being a townie. Perhaps too good…
Tarkovsky
Interesting choices, not at all what what the general concensus of current players seems to be. (although you and brewha seem to be on the same page.) I would like to hear your references and reasons if you have the time, but don’t go crazy.
Same question to you Tarkovsky, why those folks in particular?
Sorry I haven’t read all of this thread (or, Og forbid, the game thread itself), but has anyone noticed yet that Town is guaranteeing a Mafia win by their actions today? By most estimates, there are currently four Mafia and five Town. This means that if the Town vote is split at all, then the Mafia can all change their votes five minutes before deadline and lynch a Townie of their choice. Yeah, it’d be neon-sign scum tell, but it wouldn’t matter, because tonight, they’d then kill whoever is the most-suspected Townie (who won’t therefore be under medical protection) and win.
Town’s only hope of winning is for everyone to agree to vote together. The catch in that, of course, is that the Mafia will of course try to influence who that one person is, but there’s a solution to that, too. Everyone in Town (and everyone pretending to be, of course) should agree to vote for whomever Pleonast picks. He should, of course, give his complete list, in order, for who to kill on the following turns, too, since he’s currently wearing a big red bulls-eye. Yeah, this puts the weight of the game on a single player’s shoulders, but he’s the only one left at this point who can carry it.
I just wanted to stop by and congratulate MonkeyMensch on picking up on my scuminess so early in the game. I don’t think I was really on most players’ radar, so kudos to you. Also, I was very wrong about who the SK was, and you weren’t even on the list of alternates. Well played.
I do have a question for you: were you purposely offing townies the last few nights like most of the players seem to assume, or were you still going after Mafia?
I was wondering about Rysto and Lakai from the very beginning. Since Rysto was being so helpful, everyone automatically assumed that he was a townie of some sort. Right around that point (before/early on day 2) Lakai posted a couple of times without saying anything terribly substantial. Soon after, a few players (no names because I’d rather not go back through the thread) began to call them both “townies.” It was obviously true in Rysto’s case, but Lakai really hasn’t done anything to make me consider him vanilla. Even though the investigation came up citizen, he could still be mafia–or even the godfather. And since he’s laid so low, I’m thinking he’s the GF.
What made me notice Pygmy Rugger and **brewha **was Rysto’s spreadsheet. They only ever voted for townies and power roles, and never even went near someone who was Mafia. The last few “days” have made me suspect them more and more–they keep on trying to shift the attention onto other players, usually succeed, and then another townie bites the dust. They’ve very carefully placed themselves on “opposite” sides, placing blame on one another, and “fighting” about a whole lot of nothing. That way, if one of them gets voted off, nobody would vote for their so-called “enemy.” The last day has been especially telling: brewha is pushing the **Lakai **bandwagon way too hard. By pushing like that, he’ll have a better chance of being voted off–and if he’s revealed to be scum, Lakai won’t be touched. Pygmy Rugger’s slip early on day 2 and again with the three remaining Mafia members adds to his, ah, scumminess.
Of course, much of my reasoning can be used to implicate Queuing, but I can’t help but think he’s taken far too many risks to be a real Mafia member. A loud townie, yes, but scum? I don’t think so.
Yeah, when my aim got so bad with **Arizona Teach ** and **glee ** I just gave up on the kill mafia tactic and went anti-town. And thanks. I’m always short on a kudo or two around the house.
